There is a different way to deal with situations

profile-pic

I am more empowered to refuse to deal with conflict in a negative way.. Whether it’s in relation to a person or just random negative events that might occur in my daily life, I’m much more aware there is a different way to deal with these situations or people when they come up in my life. I will admit some people are very good at pushing my buttons! But I step back a little before I go through steps of resolving whatever issue I've been presented with.

I so enjoyed it. I like being in your physical space Daniel... you have this calm aura around you whether you are really calm I do not know, but you calm me just by your presence. Thank you for that! Plus you make my brain work 🙂

I seem able to...have a less emotional perspective

profile-pic

I seem able to « extract » myself from the immediate drama and to have a less emotional perspective on my current situation.

Feeling as if the intentions were respected and perhaps, could be a reality

profile-pic

I especially liked the way Daniel kept going back to the goals/intentions that we wished to manifest. It was a theme that he kept referring to and it kept me on track, feeling as if the intentions were respected and perhaps, could be a reality, with our tenacity and persistence,...and patience! which are all the same, in a sense!

A deeper understanding of what is means to Listen carefully, Feel Deeply, and Play

profile-pic

The three 1 and1/2 hour sessions facilitated by Daniel at Jubilee in June of 2018 also only deepened my one on one experience of individual training with him, first with the drum, now with the piano.. They gave a deeper understanding of what is means to Listen carefully, Feel Deeply, and Play...with sound (drum/piano) and metaphorically!

So glad I came

profile-pic

I really didn't have a good idea of what I was getting into, but I am so glad I came. Love your openness to each person.

What kind of world do we want to live in?

profile-pic

What kind of world do we want to live in? A few of the desires/intentions were for: silence, acceptance of others, mutual trust, sustainably open hearts, respect for Mother Earth, healing of communities, willingness to cooperate, forgiveness, and collarless dogs, which I take as a metaphor for the freedom to be who we truly are. (Celebrate like someone forgot to close the gate!).

I found myself wanting to contribute some of what I have learned

profile-pic

I realize (again) that I cannot change someone else. At least not directly. All I can do is hold a loving space...and wait. It is different. I expected much greater unease about my musical stupidity. Instead, I found myself wanting to contribute some of what I have learned by being open to change.. I was amazed that within a period of ten hours, each if us was comfortable enough to reveal who we think we are. Good job.

Able to get to forgiveness or acceptance easier and more quickly

profile-pic

Find I am remembering to LISTEN, instead of rushing with my own thoughts, then listen more carefully.

More aware of what people are wishing for or needing at the time-- feeling a bit of judgement pricks me to look at the situation differently and suspend it. Am able to get to beginning forgiveness of person or acceptance of situation easier and more quickly. (Very hard or not yet attained yet re: political situations)

Inclusion and non-judgment

profile-pic

Informality, spontaneity! Everybody having a chance to participate and nothing judged. Use of body language for expression of thoughts and emotions. Variety of modalities. Very creative in making it interesting and meaningful.

Relaxing into playing music

profile-pic

I deeply enjoy being able to relax into playing music. I love everything about it, the loudness, the delicious sounds and rhythms, being able to make it amazing!

I have done other workshops and I feel like this one is different because Daniel really cares.

Nothing to be afraid of or shy of

profile-pic

[This is good for] anyone who has any desire to dive into their musical journey.

I would tell them that there is nothing to be afraid of or shy of. Just be yourself and you will be loved and accepted wherever you are in your process.

Thank you Daniel for being so genuine and loving!
