So much of what we think
is possible is shaped and formed and circumscribed by the environment we operate in.
And so many challenges and conflicts we face are characterized by people on different sides of something, deeply feeling the validity of their perspective.
This should not surprise us.
We all know that experience of feeling what we experience to be valid and worthy of consideration by whoever we interact with.
What we don't realize as often is the context within which our experiences and thoughts are embedded.
We remember things we’ve been told and things we’ve experienced and we conflate the validity of those lessons and experiences with the reality that it is fundamentally impossible for any finite being to know the whole story.
Ever.
A good step in the direction of fulfilling our potential as individuals, communities, and societies is not only to accept, but embrace and love the fact that we are inherently myopic!
This isn't bad news, quite the contrary.
It gives us full permission to be flawed, to not have to know and carry everything, and to allow the grace of life to offer itself to us.
This is profoundly good news, profoundly liberating, and profoundly welcoming.
What might we be capable of?
What might you be capable of?
Noone knows, and that may be the single most wonderful blessings we could ever ask for.
Let's play into that!
